Abstract
A comprehensive summary of the known information on binary amalgam compounds is presented. Fifty-five amalgam systems have been evaluated with current literature data. Crystal structures, stoichiometry, lattice constants and density are provided when available. All data are presented in tabular form with literature references. Binary phase diagrams of mercury are classified into categories based on their solubility, intermetallic compound formation and invariant phase reactions.
